It is time to give our updated power ranking! Which team will win the chip at their current state? Here is our ranking!
#12. Terrafirma
Their first round pick is already with a team that according to the rumors, they would want to help. So, should we even expect them to be serious?
#11. Blackwater
Blackwater is trying. They have a promising young core with Barefield currently on the running to end up as the top scorer in this tournament.
#10. Phoenix
Unfortunately for Phoenix, they lack experience to win the close games that hey have experienced. Still though, Phoenix should be happy to se the rise of Rivero.
#9. Meralco
It is hard to believe that Meralco can really compete at the same time in two serious tournaments. Thus, I need to put them this low.
#8. Titan
There is something about the current level of play of Calvin Abueva that gives his fans hope that Titan is closer to a potential playoff run than not.
#7. NLEX
NLEX is currently near the top of the standings with the great flow of their offense led by Robert Bolick. One guy that is currently getting a lot of attentions is JB Bahio as he is averaging 14.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 60% FG per game.
#6. Rain or Shine
With the injury to Keith Datu and the injury issues also of Caelan Tiongson, Rain or Shine has a big hole in their frontline.
#5. Magnolia
I think they have the depth to win the championship but if you think they will win the crown, that means you believe that coach LA can coach a team to a championship in his first tournament as a head coach in the PBA.
#4. Ginebra
I know that coach Tim Cone is the master of the long game. We have witnessed his team struggle early and then grab the championship at the end. This time, I think they have harder problems than usual.
#3. Converge
Converge wants to win the championship. I think that in terms of quantity, they have the deepest team in the league. So, that is the reason why I have them here.
#2. San Miguel
I will not argue against people who think San Miguel should be #1. Junemar Fajardo is still unstoppable and his supporting cast is as reliable as expected.
#1. TNT
I think they are deeper than San Miguel and in a 7-game series, depth is crucial. Thus, I have them at the top spot for now. Kevin Ferrer for one is currently looking like a starting-caliber forward.
