How to Maximize Brownlee and Balkman in Alab Pilipinas

Tanduay Alab Pilipinas tilted their future by replacing their two imports with two familiar names in Justin Brownlee and Renaldo Balkman.

Justin Brownlee is, of course, the beloved enforcer of Ginebra who is their leader in their last two championships. On the other hand, Renaldo is well known for choking Arwind Santos in the Philippine Basketball Association.

So, how can Alab used these duo to pushed their future into a brighter one?

GIVE THE BALL TO BROWNLEE
The biggest problem of Alab is the fact that they only have their imports as superb playmakers. Does, it is important that they keep feeding them the ball. Don't  think about getting them fatigue because this is not NBA where teams play three to five games a week.

I am not saying that Justin should play the PG role. They just need to run plays that will put him into his comfortable spots and get him the ball and let him wreck havoc.

RUN
Balkman can't shoot from the outside but he is a brute force inside. The best thing about him is his speed and ability to handle the ball. With that, they better run and take advantage. Running should also reduce their size disadvantage inside.

It is not also good that their shooters are not hitting from the outside, making their half-court sets less and less effective. Hontiveros and Urbiztondo are hitting 27% and 31%, respectively.

By running, they will run less half-court sets and maximize the finishing abilities of Parks, Domingo and Maierhofer.

BROWNLEE SHOULD PROVIDE PICKS
I will not be shock if Brownlee will end up as the best shooter of the team at the end of the season. Does, having plays where he provide picks could optimize the ball-handlers of the team. Defenders will have second-thoughts in going under the pick because he can get open and shoot.
