Two Teams that Abueva Should Wished To Trade For Him

Let us assume that Alaska is currently in the trade market, trying to find the best deal for Calvin Abueva. And as the rumors dictated, Calvin also wants a new team.

If I am Calvin Abueva, I will pray and maybe push hard to be shipped to these two squads.

Rain or Shine Elasto Painters

James Yap is just a name today. Inside the court, Yap is only playing the role of a scorer and spot-up shooter. In short, Rain or Shine is lacking a real face in the court today and for their future.

Calvin should happily fill that shoes.

Calvin in Rain or Shine will be a match-made-in-heaven. Even though coach Yeng is not already there, Rain or Shine still have the most physical team in the league, with a frontcourt of Beau Belga, Raymond Almazan and Jay Washington.

Add the fact that they love to get super huge import and they are really the undisputed most physical squad in the league.

The Beast can easily relate to physicality. He never backs down from anybody and any match-up. In short, Calvin will embody the spirit of the Rain or Shine franchise.

Not only that, Calvin will love to play for a team that loves to shoot the long-ball. All the local players of the Painters are capable of hitting the outside shot. Which means a very good spacing that the Beast can take advantage.

They also emphasize rebounding. They are the best rebounding team in this conference, and also the top team in terms of getting 2nd chance boards. And rebounding is a huge part of the game of Calvin. Playing for a franchise that values what you want to do the best will be fantastic.

In short, Rain or Shine has a system that fits Calvin so well. Which makes me believe that he can easily magnify their production if they acquire him.

TNT Ka-Tropa

Other than playing in the PBA, Calvin Abueva is also so invested in representing our country in international competition. There could even be a chance that he is willing to be a full-time national team player as long as the pay is right.

That will not be a problem if he can be a part of TNT. TNT is basically the franchise that is keeping our national team, floating. Calvin can play in every international game that he wants because TNT will surely allow him.

Other than that, Calvin will also join forces with Terrence Romeo. Is there any question if I say that Terrence and Calvin have been the two most polarizing players in the Philippines, today?

Just imagine the havoc that The Beast and The Bro can make in the court? If they are running the fastbreak, who can stop them?

I also love the fit of Calvin with Troy Rosario. Rosario is athletic and also a great hustle player. Playing them together will create a very disruptive defense.

Overall, Calvin will enjoy the freedom of representing the country and will form a dynamic team with fellow gritty and hyper studs.
