Gilas-Australia Brawl Repercussions: Alaska could make a Trade Soon

We all saw what happened in the Australia-Philippines game. Two of the Gilas players that are on the spotlight are Calvin Abueva and Carl Bryan Cruz.

Both were seen throwing punches and trying to hurt the Australians.

That can now lead to a huge conundrum of the Alaska management. It doesn't matter if the action of Cruz and Abueva were justifiable, it still against the image that Alaska Aces built in the last few decades.

Add that to the fact that Calvin Abueva had been on the trade rumor mill for a while and this could really be the end of the Alaska-Abueva relationship.

In the current Abueva-Alaska saga, you will see that the actions of the management and the coaching staff are still in-line with the white-collar and clean image that the team has structured.

If they will continue to abide with it, trading the Beast should really be on their future.

One more guy that is much easier to trade and who is of the same bloodline as Calvin is Carl Bryan Cruz.

CBC could be highly coveted due to his versatility and ability to hit three-point shots. The role of Carl in their future of Alaska is also becoming dimer because of the presence and good play of Jeron Teng.

They can use them to acquire a center that they badly need.

Overall, Alaska has legit reasons to make a trade now. If they do, I expect them to do it as soon as possible.
