The 2019 PBA draft is still the draft of the Elasto Painters

When the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup started, Rain or Shine grand plan in the 2019 PBA draft was given a lot of praise.

They have three picks to used in a potential deep batch that was supposed to include Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Troy Rike, Franky Johnson, Jason Brickman and Santi Santillan. Unfortunately, all of those six guys will not be available anymore in the upcoming draft.

If you are an Elasto Painters fans though, do not be sad because if they end up having the #4, the #6 and the #8 pick, they are still on good spots to do things.

So, what is their best path of action?

They should look to trade two of those first round picks to get a lower 1st round pick and a 2020 1st round pick.

I am pretty sure there is at least a team out there, who will look to get two of those picks who will be willing to trade their 2020 1st.

Even getting the 2020 1st of the San Miguel Beermen will be good enough. If all of the six that postponed their arrival in the PBA will enter the 2020 draft, that will make the #12 pick, like the #6 pick in a usual draft.

And by the looks of it, the 2020 draft will be full of capable bigs, which is the most important type of player in the league.

If there is a willing team, they can even try to move out of the draft, as long as they get two 2020 1st or 2021 1st.

They actually have a deep roster already that they do not really need to add young guys this year.
