PBA trade rumors: I do not think Arwind Santos-package for CJ Perez will happen

With the help of Snow Badua, the rumblings about the CJ Perez to San Miguel Beermen trade is getting stronger.

The latest rumored package that SMB could be giving Columbian is Arwind Santos, Kelly Nabong and Ronald Tubid.

Do San Miguel really expect that the PBA universe will accept those three players as an equal to the value of CJ?

They should open their eyes and see that Arwind Santos is already 38 years old and there is no way that adding two role players to him will equal the value of the scoring champion of the 2019 season.

And I believe the management of San Miguel will see that.

Add the fact that the PBA universe will surely realize that the three players that the Beermen will trade were all suspended by the franchise because of fighting and the value of that package will surely go down.

Even if they add first round picks, only a handful will give value to those picks of the Beermen.

And CJ Perez is a guard. Adding CJ to Chris Ross, Alex Cabagnot, Terrence Romeo and Marcio Lassiter means they are going to minimize one or two of those guys. So, it is not that ideal for SMB to make that deal.

The best deal that the PBA universe will accept is for SMB to give up two of Ross, Cabagnot, Romeo and Lassiter plus at least one 1st round pick.

In terms of value, that package will be hard to reject as an equal to the value of a CJ Perez.
