PBA Analysis: Is Moala Tautuaa the top center now of San Miguel?

There is a good argument that Junemar Fajardo is the Greatest of All Time of the Philippine Basketball Association.

He has the most numbers of Most Valuable Player awards and to be honest, none of those trophies can be debated against.

But, he is coming off a long lay-off due to an injury and the regression in his performance is pretty obvious.

Fortunately for San Miguel, they have another giant in Moala Tautuaa. He is not as big and as powerful as Junemar Fajardo but in terms of how broad his skillset is, Moala could challenge him.

Can you guess the top scorer of San Miguel in their last two victories in the ongoing semifinals series against TNT Tropang Giga?

Yes, Moala.

He produced 25 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block in their 2nd win. And then in game 6, he erupted for 24 points by shooting 10/14 from the field.

He was literally unstoppable. What makes Tautuaa an interesting guy to defend is his willingness to take three-point shots. And he can actually make them.

So, the question begs if they should treat him now as the alpha center, and not Fajardo.
