TNT Tropang Giga is in full control of the ongoing 2021 Philippine Cup finals. They dominated the 1st game with their defense and then delivered a masterful offensive performance in game 2.
So, Magnolia doesn't stand a chance now, right?
Not really. The defense of TNT is really commendable. They limited Magnolia to 10 combined three-pointers made in the first two games.
Also, they have shown the capacity to defend the paint and to control the passing and fluidity of the offense of Magnolia.
But, Magnolia still has a chance. Their 10 combined three-pointers may also be a product of luck. So, a bounce-back there will surely help the chances of Magnolia.
Mikey Williams was also unstoppable in the first two games, with a total of 49 points. But, he is a streaky scorer. They also defended him well. The shots just went in. So, a chance that the numbers will soon catch up to him is there.
Lastly, coach Chito Victolero is still their coach.
Coach Chito may have been bad in the first two games but the guy is excellent in adjusting inside a series. His defense was not that bad too if you just watched the film.
Game 3 though is crucial. They badly need to get it.
