As usual, coach Chot Reyes and his Gilas-led team made another historic feat by bowing down to Japan.
It is quite a symbolic defeat knowing that Japan B League is currently getting a lot of the blue chip amateur players in the country.
And as usual, coach Chot Reyes was sorry again with the performance of his team. But of course, he made excuses.
The one that he used for this history downing results is that his team was so young.
In reality, there is a truth in the statement as at least three of their guys were too young to be even considered for the upcoming 2023 FIBA World Cup.
Nevertheless, the reality is the fans are either hopeful or already given up for the upcoming FIBA World Cup because of one man, coach Chot Reyes.
For those who already gave up believed that the recent results were indicative that coach Chot was not the right man for the job.
On the other hand, the other side see the possibility of him being replaced as the source of hope. They see him as the cause of their bad play.
Yes. Fans are still hopeful because a new coach can still be used.
And that there are a plethora of better options around.
