With a very long offseason on the horizon of the PBA, players are looking to keep themselves busy. That could be the reason why we saw the names of Arwind Santos, Alex Cabagnot and Encho Serrano in the roster of the Pampanga Giant Lanterns for the upcoming season of MPBL.
Now, do not forget that Pampanga Giant Lanterns is connected to Governor Delta Pineda. He is not only the governor now of the province of Pampanga but also the Converge team.
So, there is a good chance that Governor Delta has desires to get Chris. What could be the ideal trade for him?
Perfect Trade: 2nd round pick
The reality is, Alex is already 40 years old. Retirement is very possible already this offseason. And if he intends to play longer, another season could be his max. So, the perfect trade for Converge is to just give up a second round pick.
Realistic Trade: Taylor Browne or David Murrell and a 2nd round pick
The most realistic scenario is that Terrafirma will ask for a 2nd round pick and one of the high potential bench players of Converge. Taylor and David fits the bill.
Worst: Jeo Ambohot
The worst will be for Converge to just give up on Jeo and trade him to get the right to be the team where Alex will end his career. Jeo did not get that much playing time in his rookie season but it is still very early to give up on him. He is still very young and promising.
