Here is our first mock draft now that we have seen the list of entrants!
#1 DYIP Dalph Panopio - Coach Tim Cone is easily one of the best judge of a PG. If he thinks Dalph is a target, that means Dalph could be special.
#2 PHX Jason Brickman - I consider Brickman as a special PG. He showed that in the most recent run of SGA. If Mikey Williams is special in terms of scoring, Brickman is special as a playmaker.
#3 BWE Will Gozum - I wonder if Gozum is actually seen as a top tier prospect if he did not get injured. Do not forget that he is an NCAA MVP.
#4 NOR Juan Gomez de Liano - They clearly need a young PG and a potential face of the franchise. Juan can be that guy.
#5 NLEX Chris Koon - Ateneo players are usually drafted by MVP group teams. At this point, the forwards value are magnified because of their low supply.
#6 MAG Geo Chiu - At this point, Magnolia can now go for height and grab Geo. Yes, he is slow, but the guy is tall.
#7 MER Yukien Andrada - He performed well in the most recent season of San Beda. He needs more seasoning but he could be a lite version of Oftana.
#8 XERS Chris Miller - He is old but the supply of good forwards in the PBA is low. Miller could have enough ball handling and athleticism to deserve big minutes right away.
#9 SMB LJ Gonzales - They do not have a young guard. Yes, last year, they failed to maximize Nava. Maybe a pure Filipino is a better fit for them.
#10 ROS Dave Ando - I expect Rain or Shine to search for the best project. I think Ando is a good bet at this point.
#11 BGSM Christian Manaytay - In his last season with UST, Manaytay was consistent in his production. I believe the SMC management is familiar with him.
#12 ROS Shawn Umali - A lot of people see Shawn as the smaller version of Belga. I think coach Yeng can also recognize that.
