PBA Team Power Ranking: San Miguel and Ginebra are not championship contenders?

After the first week of action!

Here is our initial power ranking!
#12. Terrafirma
It seems like the new rule that bars the #1 pick to be traded will pushed Terrafirma to try and not be the worst but just the 2nd worst.

#11. Titan
The explosion of Calvin Abueva is a welcome site but that is not enough to forget the clear issues in the line-up of Titan.

#10. Blackwater
Blackwater is hyping up a young big 3 in Barefield-David-Panopio. I mean, if these 3 reaches their ceiling, they are a legit big 3.

#9. Phoenix
What makes Phoenix a very interesting team is the modern structure of their system and their roster. Almost all their bigs can shoot from beyond the arc.

#8. NLEX
Robert Bolick is currently out but NLEX is still playing good basketball. Jonard Policarpio finding his rhythm will help them a lot.

#7. Meralco
I think Meralco knows that if they want to have a maximum shot at an EASL crown, they need to give up this Philippine Cup.

#6. Rain or Shine
Rain or Shine has a complete team. The biggest question is, do they have enough talent to grab the championship?

#5. Converge
Juan Gomez de Liano has an explosive debut! A triple double for a rookie is a magnificent production. But, the chemistry is still not there.

#4. Ginebra
Still too early to be afraid for Ginebra. But they have an obvious need for size and consistent scoring. Can coach Tim Cone managed to fix the issues without making a trade?

#3. Magnolia
Magnolia is playing with confidence. I wonder if Jerome Lastimosa can really keep up his play when teams get familiar with him.

#2. San Miguel
0-2 and still #2? Even at that record, I cannot see a clear weakness right now for the Beermen. Unless Fajardo is really not at MVP level anymore.

#1. TNT
TNT is clearly the elite team playing at their best form. With the addition of good pieces like Ferrer and Jalalon, they are so deep.
