PBA Power Ranking: Top 5 MVP Candidate! Abueva is #1?

Even though the elimination round of the first tournament of the 2025-2026 PBA season is already halfway, we are still very early actually in discussing the top 5 MVP candidates because this season is expected to end at the last quarter of 2026.

Here is our top 5 candidate!

#5. Juan Gomez de Liano
I know that it is hard to believe that we will have a legit MVP-ROY candidate from that supposed weak 2025 PBA draft but here we are. Juan is close to averaging triple-double and arguably the best player of Converge. If Converge will win one championship, then Juan will have a legit shot at that MVP-ROY accomplishment.

#4 Calvin Oftana
We expect TNT to at least win one championship. That will give their best player a legit ticket to the MVP award. Currently, Calvin is their best player.

#3. Robert Bolick
NLEX is currently the #1 team in the standings. Do we see them as a legit championship contender? No. But they are playing like a well-oiled machine and maybe a monster import can help them win the crown in the championship tournament which will legitimize the MVP candidacy of Robert.

#2. Calvin Abueva
Abueva is putting up monstrous numbers of 22.1 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 steals, 1.1 blocks and 33% 3FG per game. He need to lead Titan to multiple cinderella runs if he wants a legit shot at the MVP award. Or maybe push a trade to a contender.

#1. Junemar Fajardo
Fajardo is still the clear #1 candidate. Betting that San Miguel will win a championship is an easy one to make. Fajardo is not as destructive as before but his numbers is still very good.
