A new team next season?

We could be having a new team in the PBA, very soon! According to reports Chooks To Go is already talking to several teams about a franchise acquisition.

The talks are still on initial stages so don't get excited very soon. According to them, the acquisition could be completed before the start of the next season.

The biggest question of course is the identity of the team that they will acquire. I am not banking on anyone yet but don't be surprise if it is one of the perennial contenders, Alaska and Rain or Shine.

The next question is, the independence of the corporation that is banking the franchise. With my initial research, I don't think they are connected to SMC or MVP.
