2017 PBA Draft Steals - The Guards and Wings!

To get the top three prospects in the draft is always the #1 wish of any franchise. In the PBA, there is only one way to add up young prospects without sacrificing anything. That makes the PBA draft a very important event.

Other than getting the cream of the crops, teams are also salivating to get one draft steal! For the 2017 draft, who are the best draft steal candidates that will follow the paths of Jeff Chan, Jimmy Alapag and Beau Belga.

Let us check first the guards and the wingmen!

Sidney Onwubere
- If I ask you to give me five best candidates to be the best player out of this draft, I am pretty sure Onwubere will not be one of them.

He can be.

Hardwork is one of the skills that if you have it, the light of your future is much brighter. Sidney is a hardworking beast. Yes, just like The Beast. He is not as fiery and forceful as Abueva but just like him, he provides more than 100% in every play.

He can shoot, rebound, score and even make clutch shots! So, here is a blue-collar player that you can trust on crunch time.

JK Casino
He shoots. The guy hit 12 three-pointers in the entirety of the PBA draft scrimmages. A franchise will not make a mistake if they draft the best shooter in the class. Imagine if you can snag him in the lower-half of the second round?

Gab Dagangon
Did you ever researched about the guy who replaced Scottie Thompson as the main man of Perpetual? Yes, it was Gab Dagangon. Just like Scottie, he is also a reliable offensive player and most especially, a 5+ rebounds kind-of-guard.

His style is not totally a photocopy of Scottie. Gab is a better shooter and he looks to score more than Scottie.

I am hoping these three guys will be given the right amount of opportunity in the PBA.
