Meralco-Ginebra Game 5 Prediction: Can Ginebra get back the lead?

I told you! I told you! This will be a classic series! That last sequence where in no timeout was called but still we saw the ten players put their foot on the gas! That block of Sol Mercado exemplified that!

Now, we are down to a best-of-three and all of it will be played in the biggest indoor arena in the world! So, can Meralco turn-the-table around in game 5? Or, will Ginebra end their struggles and get back the series lead?

I think, the Finals Most Valuable Player award should already be awarded to Durnham. I know that it is the tradition to give that award to a player of the Champion team and I don't even know if imports are allowed to take home the award.

But man, it is very very obvious that in terms of value to their team, Durnham has the most. That shows in the 4th quarter where the Bolts were out of sync but fortunately they have Durnham to save their day.

I think, the best thing that Ginebra can do is to make sure that they have fresh defenders for him in the last quarter to minimize his meaningful impacts.

One simple thing that Meralco was able to accomplished in game 3 and 4 was to minimize turnovers. They averaged 12 in the last two games. Playing against a bigger squad, limiting those free balls is a huge thing.

Meralco has simplified their passing patterns by focusing more on round the arc passing and drive and kicks.

Ginebra needs Slaughter to make shots. Mark Caguioa did his part in game 4 but that is not enough. Coach Tim should pushed his giant more because Meralco is basically playing a three-man frontline!

Durnham is still a human so I expect a bad game from him in game 5 or game 6. Bad game for him is around 20 points, 14 rebounds and a block. When that happens, The bench of Meralco should help out, especially on the offensive end.

PREDICTION
Even with the win, I don't think Meralco has the momentum entering game 5. I think, the momentum is at the equilibrium. I expect Allen will finally have his bad game this Sunday. Greg Slaughter will finally play well.

And that will result into a dominant victory by Ginebra.
