I think, the day that we have been waiting for will soon come true. TNT was not happy with the statement of Commissioner Narvasa about there official, Membrere, bringing Standhardinger's draft papers.
These are the crucial statements.
“TNT management resents the statement of Comm. Narvasa. It’s uncalled for. Just proves he is biased... No logical reason to divulge the info other than a futile and pathetic attempt to take the spotlight off him."
Resent means to object. What they are saying is, Narvasa is trying to put the low light on them to reduced the heat against SMC and himself.
And if you think about it, Narvasa really don't have any logical reason to reveal that. Why should he? Did that explain how lopsided the trade? Did that explain how idiot he is about basketball in explaining the trade like it was fair?
"We are afraid as to who should be the custodian of the PBA’s overall paramount interest. He talks about parity/equilibrium for trades, but where is it?"
The Commissioner is the only hope of the PBA universe in having a league with equilibrium. So, with the amount of hate the Commissioner is receiving, it only means that the league is getting further away from parity.
THIS IS THE BEGINNING
As a PBA fan, we should be happy about this. TNT is the flagship of MVP, who holds three franchises in the league. That is power there. I don't know how Narvasa will react to this but at least, the owners of the other non-SMC franchises will be alarmed. SMC cannot have a PBA by their own.
Time has come for a change.
