To give way for their rookies, Globalport has decided to let Mike Cortez and Billy Mamaril be free-agents. Which means, they can sign with any other team! According to some sources, they are already trying out for some teams.
Mike Cortez played 22.8 minutes per game in the Governors' Cup. He produced 6.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 45.5% FG and 43.5% 3FG on the Governors' Cup.
On the other hand, Billy Mamaril played 11.1 minutes and started seven of their 11 elimination games.
Cortez and Mamaril are already old guys so it is wrong to let younger players take their place.
Or, is this a precursor to the "upcoming" Terrence Romeo trade.
