Trade Analysis - TNT-PHX: Helping Each Other

TNT and Phoenix continue to be of helping hands to each other. TNT will ship out Jonjon Gabriel and Justin Chua for Sidney Onwubere and a 2019 PHX 2nd round pick.

It is basically #8 pick and a 2019 2nd round pick for Justin Chua and the 11th pick. It is a matter of, does the difference of the #8 and #11 pick equates to the difference of Chua and that 2nd round pick?

Of course yes! Just by looking in the previous two draft, we saw how hard it is to find a rotation player in the 2nd round. And, Chua has been developing very well, although his injury report is also getting longer.

TEAM ANALYSIS
Phoenix Fuel Masters

Received - Justin Chua and Jonjon Gabriel
Sent - Sidney Onwubere and 2019 2nd round pick

I am not a huge believer of Chua at the start but his development with the limited opportunity being provided to him was noteworthy and made me a fan. Getting bigmen is always a good thing. Especially, if they can shoot from the outside!

Gabriel can be out of the league after three years or he can be a starter. He could be the dual-edge big that all the teams want. A big that can shoot and deter shots out of the rim. Also, the wing and forward position of the Fuel Masters is actually their strength.

TNT Ka Tropa
Received - Sidney Onwubere and 2019 2nd round pick
Sent - Justin Chua and Jonjon Gabriel

For the nth time already, let me tell this again, Sidney Onwubere could end up as the best player out of this draft! His defensive tenacity is just higher than 100% for almost the entire game. His athleticism is also above average!

TNT is looking for a player that can help out Troy Rosario and RR Pogoy when Jayson Castro is already not the best Point Guard in Asia. Although, giving up two bigs will still hurt in the long run.
