Kia continue their unconventional year with another unconventional move. Coach Chris Gavina "resigned" as the head coach of the team, this Saturday. He announced that to his players, at the end of their practice.
According to the reports, Mr. Gavina will now focus on the business side of his life which is primarily about his "Impakt" energy drink.
Someone needs to takeover. So, who was the "lucky" guy?
It was coach Ricky Dandan, who is the lead deputy of coach Gavina. Mr. Dandan's previous head coaching job was with UP Maroons in UAAP.
And with UP, he posted a tantalizing record of 3 wins and 33 losses.
So, what is the biggest takeaway from this development? Simple, Kia Picanto will surely be the worst team this conference and I am willing to bet that they will end up with the top pick in the 2018 draft.
