Dennis Uy is slowly making a name for himself in the Philippine's business sector. He just made another acquisition, according to Inquirer.
He managed to buy Kia from Pepito Alvarez, who is of course very related to the SMC corporation.
Dennis Uy is a Davao-based businessman who is also the owner of Phoenix Petroleum, 2GO, Chelsea Logistics, Udenna, Global Gateway Logistics City, H2O Ventures and Family Mart.
Yes, Dennis is also the owner of Phoenix Fuel Masters. So, this should mean that Kia and Phoenix could be considered sister teams, soon.
And you know what makes this really exciting? Dennis has a good connection to the Sy family, the owner of SM!
The biggest question from this acquisition is, does that mean we could trust Kia now as a franchise?
