One Last Logical TRADE TARGETS for Alaska, Globalport, Rain or Shine before the 43rd Season

PBA is only 4 days away if everything goes according to plan. Of course I am leaning more for a new beginning instead of continuing with the current state of the league.

But, if the league will push through, Alaska , Globalport and Rain or Shine may consider these targets for their push.

Rain or Shine - A 1st round pick

Rain or Shine had been operating under the shadows for a while but don't look now, they have the deepest guard rotation in the league! The rotation is led by Jericho Cruz and Maverick Ahanmisi. Behind them is the trio of Chris Tiu, Ed Daquioag and Rey Nambatac. Then, they still have two  in Billy Ray Robles and Jerramy King.

Actually, they even have James Yap who can play the SG position. Don't bother to count, that is eight in total. There strength is not only in numbers but even in quality.

With the marketing lure of Chris Tiu, Rain or Shine can easily put him and Ed on the block and we could expect a 1st round pick as a return.

Why should Rain or Shine do it? Because of the concept of addition by subtraction. Reducing their backcourt rotation to six should not hamper the overall quality of it and should help them develop faster.

Alaska - Yancy de Ocampo

One type of player that Alaska had been lacking in the past few years is a capable outside shooting big. How about a low cost-proven shooter in YDO? With the arrival of Standhardinger, San Miguel could only be looking for a 2nd round pick for him.

Imagine what he can bring into the table. Even in 10-15 minutes a game, YDO at center will make Alaska a very different team. Imagine Abueva-YDO-Pascual frontcourt. Pascual and Abueva are agile and versatile enough to play around YDO and his floor-stretching ability.

The lane will be much wider for their guard to drive-in. The paint will be less traffic for Abueva to crack in and steal rebounds.

Globalport - Calvin Abueva

The pairing of Stanley Pringle and Terrence Romeo had been lighting up the league in the last two seasons. They are the highest scoring duo in the last two seasons and it is not even close. Unfortunately, Globalport cannot find the right coach and make the right supporting cast around them.

How about a  pairing that is much more easier to mesh? How about a Pringle-Abueva combo? Yes, I am suggesting a Romeo for Abueva trade! Romeo is younger than Abueva and will fit better with their clean pedigree.

If Alaska agree, Globalport just created the most stat-filling duo that the league has ever seen! If you combine the production of The Beast and the Beard last season, the resulting production will be 33.4 points, 14.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.3 blocks.

Imagine them with another stat-filling guy in Sean Anthony! Yes. Globalport will create havoc on the court that we may have never seen!
