Hypothetical ROS Rebuild - Trade #2: Chasing the dream ace!

Let us continue the hypothetical rebuild of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. The Elasto Painters are at the bottom half of the standings with their 2-3 mark. I am really hoping that this article-series and their continued demise would push them into a reconstruction.

Did you read my MVP power ranking? Who is at the top? Yes. Stanley Pringle. He is playing very well that the Globalport management may forget about their other superstar, Terrence Romeo.

Catching Romeo
You know what is the most underrated thing about Terrence Romeo? His age. The guy is only 25 years old. And the most amazing thing about that? He already claimed the scoring crown in the past three seasons.

You can call him Buwaya, ball-hog and etc. But, the fact remains that he has the right to shoot as many shots as he likes because he knows how to do it.

Going back to his age, Ravena is already 24 years old.

So, what is the right offer that Globalport will not be able to say "no" to.

Rain or Shine will put a blank paper on the table, with numbers #1 to #4. Globalport can get any of the four players of Elasto Painters.

That is the right value for a star, who is already part of the present of the league and who could be the future of Philippine basketball.

Can Globalport really say no to that?

Stanley Pringle, Sean Anthony, Bradwyn Guinto and Kelly Nabong with four Rain or Shine players is very capable of going toe-to-toe with anybody.

Who could be the four that Globalport can choose? I think, they will go with Raymond Almazan, Maverick Ahanmisi, Chris Tiu and Gabe Norwood.

Imagine a core of Pringle-Anthony-Almazan-Norwood-Ahanmisi-Guinto-Tiu-Nabong. They have size, shooting, defense, space, playmaking, post-scoring, passing and winning mentality.

If Globalport is capable of paying for that core for at least two seasons, a championship will be guaranteed.

Going back to Rain or Shine, Terrence Romeo will try to will them somewhere. They need to build the right team around him.

The trade #3 will make sure that he will not get any help for the first two seasons. That is to make sure that they get a top 3 pick in the 2018 draft and a top 5 pick in the 2019 draft.
