PBA Free-Agency Review : Brgy. Ginebra sign John Wilson

John Wilson is going back to the most popular ball club as he edged Franklin Bonifacio and Cabahug for the final roster spot.

Wilson was the 7th pick of Ginebra in the 2010 draft and played there for two seasons. Unfortunately, he has failed to find stable footing in the five franchises that he played for.

So, what can John Wilson bring to Ginebra?

He is a scoring defensive guard. He can create his shots, but he is not athletic enough to optimize the shots that he is taking.

On the defensive end, he will never be a problem. He will surely do anything that coach Tim will ask him and with his experience and skills, he should be able to deliver there.

So, how many minutes could we expect him to play?

I don't expect him to play any regular minutes until one of their wing players goes down with an injury. Coach Tim could also install him as a defensive stopper if the other guys like Mercado and Ferrer are failing to do the job.
