2018 PBA Draft: Trevis Jackson could be the Iverson of the PBA?

Ever heard about Allen Iverson? He is face of the most hated style in basketball.

What style? The "Buwaya" style. Players who will keep the ball and keep taking shots, no matter how hard the look is.

I am pretty sure you hate those "Buwaya" players. You do not want to play with them. But, Allen Iverson was the game-changer. Majority of the fans love him.

In the PBA, we have seen a lot of players who love to shoot shots. Terrence Romeo is the most popular now, but I don't think the majority of the fans love him.

So, we need another candidate.

Let me introduce Trevis Jackson. He is a Filipino-American, who currently plays for Gamboa-St. Claire Coffee Lovers and is a veteran player of the Division 1 of NCAA in the United States.

And other than his NCAA experience, the best fact about him is his age. He is only 22 years old! That is very young for a prospect!

Trevis is already pouring 22.0 points in the PBA D-League. In two highlight games, he did that in very efficient fashion.

In their trashing of Batangas-EAC, he tallied 30 points in 12/17 shooting. And in their defeat against Akari-Adamson, he managed 29 points in 54.3% FG.

D-League is not on the same level as the PBA. But, at least he is shooting efficiently in it. That is a good sign.

When I saw some of his highlights, I really saw the "Buwaya" style. Everytime he gets the ball, he wants to attack and shoot.

The good thing about him is, he seldom take a really bad shot. He will still pass and find a teammate.

If he can polish his outside shooting, and develop a better instinct of when to run a play and when to attack, he could be special.
