Trade Suggestions to get Jericho Cruz

Jericho Cruz is rumored to be on the block. So, let us try to look at the teams that need him and their best trade offer.

NLEX Road Warriors
Kevin Alas

Actually, this one is already on the rumor-mill. Coach Yeng Guiao could be enamored to reunite with one of his best products in his time with the Rain or Shine franchise. Jericho Cruz will bring a different flavor next to Kiefer Ravena.

Cruz is more of a do-it-all type and he has this strong physique that they will need against big guards. He is also a more willing defender than Alas.

On the part of Rain or Shine, they will get a more lethal scorer who can takeover games. As of now, they do not have someone who can score 20 points, regularly. Alas could be that guy.

Phoenix Fuel Masters
Karl Dehesa
2018 1st round pick

Phoenix Fuel Masters is pump up to contend this season. Adding Jericho Cruz to the core of Matthew Wright, JC Intal, Jeff Chan and Jason Perkins will improve their chances. Cruz will make the transition attack of Fuel Masters more lethal.

Just imagine Wright and Cruz running the floor together. Wright can suddenly stop and wait for a kickout pass and launch a transition three.

Rain or Shine will not feel the absence of Cruz because they have a pretty deep backcourt. Losing him for a 1st round pick will also open the door to Rey Nambatac for more minutes.

Magnolia Hotshots
Mark Barroca

Magnolia is at the top of the standings, even though their starting point-guard is having his worst season of his career. He is only making 8.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists per game with atrocious efficiency (29% FG and 11% 3FG).

Jio Jalalon and Justin Melton are more than ready to takeover more responsibility.

So, how about adding a guard who can play the point position and can take the role of Paul Lee if Paul is out due to injuries?

Barroca will now have a fresh start with Rain or Shine. Coach Caloy will have a starting guard that was not nurtured by coach Yeng Guiao. That can help him get a hold of the team.

Barroca's style of play is built for coach Caloy's isolation-heavy offense. He will take the harder defensive assignment every game and provide a breather to their better offensive guard.

Don't look pass Magnolia as a possible destination of Cruz.

Overall, I expect Jericho to be traded soon. Unless, they keep on winning and the happiness of playing under the Rain or Shine banner, returns for Cruz.
