Why Meralco should be THANKFUL that they are at the bottom

Losing hurts. Losing will cause a lot of lost sleeps. Losing can even destroy a team. Losing will push the fans to start finger-pointing. Even players and coaches can end up doing that.

But, losing also bring them closer to the #1 pick. And for that, Meralco should not be sad of being eliminated.

Just think about this. Even if they end up in the playoffs, do you really think they can win?

I really doubt it.

So, what is the point of wasting time in the playoffs, if you can end up with Bobby Ray Parks Jr.?

Ray Parks Jr. is already 25 years old. So, he is already running out of time for his NBA dream. Fortunately, PBA is still waiting for him to reign.

And imagine him if he ends up with Meralco?

What about a starting five of Amer, Newsome, Parks, Hodge and Ballesteros. That is oozing with length, athleticism and flexibility.

I think, having Parks in the middle of Amer and Newsome will bring out the best of those incumbent duo.

Okay, if they do not turn out to be the #1 pick, and ends up with the #2, CJ Perez would be a very nice consolation.

So, stop whining and finger-pointing. Embrace the tank!
