2018 Phil. Cup Finals Game 2 Prediction: Can San Miguel Make it Right?

I am not here to explain what happened in game 1. Coach Leo Austria had accepted the responsibility for the loss.

So, what will he do to compensate, in game 2?

Can Magnolia do the unthinkable and achieve a 2-0 lead?

KEY FACTORS
Turnovers
Junemar Fajardo
Fouls

Other than the collapse, the story of game 1 was the turnovers of San Miguel. A lot of it were forced by Magnolia, but some were just self-inflicted. The worst thing about it though, was the fact that 11 of those turnovers were committed by the Kraken.

Magnolia went from double-teaming Junemar into letting Sangalang and Reavis face him, one on one. The great thing that they did, was the positioning of their other players, who helped Sangalang and Reavis, fend-off Fajardo.

Fouls, should also be observed, because Magnolia committed a lot with 26. And out of those 26, the Beermen went 21 out of 25 in the line. They better don't expect San Miguel to just lost their touch in the charity stripes. The best thing for the Hotshots to do, is to avoid committing fouls, especially shooting fouls.

PREDICTION
I think, this one is easy. Magnolia was able to come back, due to their defense, but I don't think they can maintain that in another game. I expect coach Leo to simplify their offense, by giving a lot of the possession to Fajardo, and letting him go to work.

Don't expect a blowout game, but I will be shock if it will be close. San Miguel will tie the series in game 2.
