Kiefer Ravena is one step away from Superstardom

The Phenom is living up to his moniker. After lighting up the elimination round, he then led NLEX Road Warriors over a proven perennial contender, Alaska Aces.

In the first game, he basically controlled the defense of Alaska. He easily lured defenders towards him, you can see that many times with Sonny Thoss, and attacked the right crack on the defense.

In the second game, he was not hitting his shots. But, he never lost his confidence. He kept on attacking, and he got fouls and helped his teammates get more breathing room.

Overall, he averaged 18.0 points, 7.5 assists and 1.5 steals. Yes. What makes him special is his ability to make plays for his teammates, and his ability to score.

That is the kind of lead guard that a basketball team is craving for. Someone that they can trust to shoot the ball, who will also keep his teammates happy.

If you watch the Road Warriors play, they actually see him already as their main man. He usually ask for the ball at the top and call plays or point his teammates to different positions on the court.

And his teammates will follow.

The PBA universe is slowly embracing him. If coach Yeng Guaio, finds the proper path for them to reach the Finals, I can see the name of Ravena, reached the same level that the name James Yap did.

In short, the Magnolia Hotshots is the final roadblock for Kiefer to reach the level of stardom, that almost all PBA players is dreaming of.
