The Rejected Romeo to TNT Trade means the PBA is...

Changing?

If you are reading this one, I am pretty sure you already read about the rejected deal between TNT and Globalport. It was a four players swap of Moala Tautuaa and Alfrancis Tamsi for Terrence Romeo and Bradwyn Guinto.

Yes. The new regime rejected that trade. Just imagine if the current commissioner's office was the one to decide the SMB-Kia trade?

Yes. That deal would have never happened. But of course, we all know that Narvasa would have not been ousted, without that SMB-Kia deal.

Going back, that is now the 2nd straight deal that the league did not allow.

Remember the first Jericho Cruz deal that they did not approved? And that was the reason why Kris Rosales was added in the package.

Just imagine if that TNT-Globalport deal was approved? Yes. It will be the turn of the SMC believers to bash the league.

Fortunately, they have learned their lesson. Although, I still don't think their trade evaluation is topnotch.

So, they rejected the deal because they want TNT to add one more piece, another quality guard or a pick.

If TNT do that, like adding Ryan Reyes or RR Garcia, I don't think the majority of the PBA fans will accept that as a fair trade.

Nevertheless, the end of lopsided trade is still a great development for the league. Even though, unfair trades will still be allowed.
