Two Hotshots that should get more Playing Time

Do not believe the 1-1 record of the Finals, the San Miguel Beermen are in total control.

And we saw that in game 2.

Magnolia's offense experienced hell for 48 minutes, as they only produced 77 points. Magnolia shot an absymal 39% in the field and none of their players found their groove.

What San Miguel did was slow down the game and simplify their approach. When they did that, the talent difference shored up.

So, can Magnolia do anything to try and turn the series around?

Yes. The most obvious is to give more minutes to these two players.

Aldrech Ramos

Ramos may have a hard time keeping up with the athletic small forwards, but against San Miguel, Ramos will be fine. Marcio Lassiter is not running a lot of routes on the sets of San Miguel, which will mitigate any of the negative impact of Ramos.

And on offense, Aldrech is shooting well from the outside. In the first two games, he went 3 out of 10. For a guy who will play the 3 and the 4, that is acceptable.

The other things that Ramos had been showing in the series, is his ability in providing help defense against Fajardo. Aldrech is a good shot-blocker, which is vital in stopping a monster, like The Kraken.

Mark Barroca

The Coffee Prince is the most consistent contributor of Magnolia, on both ends of the court. He is averaging 16 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4 assists in the series. His three-point shot clicked in the first two games, hitting 50% of his 10 attempts.

On the defensive end, Barroca was stable in facing up the guards of the Beermen.

With his consistency, coach Chito should give him more than 29 minutes per game. If he can go 35, he should go 35. With him on the floor, Magnolia will have a guard that San Miguel need to respect when he is off-the-ball and who is capable of breaking the defense of the Beermen.
