Should Leo Austria be proud that he will be having TWO imports in the Commissioner's Cup?

I am having a dilemma with the latest comment of coach Leo Austria.

This was part of his answer when asked about competing for another championship. "...this is a long shot because every team in the PBA right now is trying to build up their team. I think makikita niyo naman, this coming conference, magagaling 'yung mga import eh. It just so happens na dalawa daw 'yung import na darating sa amin – isa from Hong Kong, isa from US. "

That last sentence made me cringe. Is there a need for him to reiterate that Christian Standhardinger is coming to help them? Maybe the better question is, is there a need for him to emphasize how good Standhardinger is?

By doing that, he basically confirmed the fact that what they gave up for the #1 pick of Kia in the 2017 draft was not even worth half the value of Standhardinger! He is as good as an import and yet the "so good" and "so fair" commissioner back then, accepted it?

And coach Leo Austria was so proud of it. He is so proud of having that good of a guy even though they got him through a crime! Yes, coach Leo was not the one who committed the crime. I will not blame a single ounce on him for what transpired.

But should he really be proud of it?

Isn't it, what he did is the same when a person brags about his new cellphone that he bought from a snatcher?

I hope he realized that if they complete the grandslam this season and even in the future seasons, those successes will have asterisks because of a trade that was a product of a corruption.
