TNT has the pieces to play ala-Houston Rockets

With the arrival of Terrence Romeo, TNT has enough firepower now to push themselves into a new stratosphere on the offensive end.

Don't expect Terrence to totally change his style. Coach Nash could be able to discipline him in taking better shots but don't expect him to not average at least 15 tries a game.

If that is the case, what style should they try to emulate?

The Houston Rockets three-point crazy and isolation-heavy offense.

The most important aspect of the Rockets'offense is the discipline to minimize midrange shots.

In TNT's line-up, there are only five players that deserve a green light from midrange. They are Terrence, Castro, Pogoy, Reyes and Carey.

I don't trust Jericho Cruz' jumper as of today. He is more effective if he spots up from beyond the arc and attacks the basket with his strong body.

Jeremy Tyler should be able to replicate the role of Clint Capela. A rim-running center who will takedown lob passes. A strong attacking center helps out in cramping the defense of their opponent against their outside shots.

The next important thing that they should do is to keep raining down three-pointers. And for that to happen, they need to have credible shooters.

Fortunately, they have. Romeo is 33% from beyond the arc in his career. That is good enough to keep taking shots.

Their best shooter could be their power forward, Troy Rosario. He shot 45.5% from beyond the arc in the 2018 Philippine Cup. If he can sustain the percentage above 40%, TNT is assured of a quality spacing every time he is on the floor.

Let us not forget about Castro who shot 39.3% in the Philippine Cup. Semerad is also a lifer from beyond the arc. Then at the wing, Pogoy, Reyes and Cruz will be there, waiting for the ball to unload.

Now, the last piece of the puzzle will be for Terrence to learn to make the right passes. I mean, he needs to learn to pass more.

Terrence' vision is underrated. He just needs to pass the ball more to be more effective. The great thing about the bigs of TNT is, they make the right passes.

If he can pass it out, the ball should be able to move to the right shot, majority of the time.

If everything falls into its right place, we could be witnessing the arrival of the most modern style in the league.
