TRADE RUMORS: Another franchise wants to trade for Ian Sangalang!

The dominance of the San Miguel Beermen is not deterring anyone from dreaming of winning a PBA title this season.

According to one of the primary source of PBA trade rumors, an unnamed franchise offered one of their bigman for Ian Sangalang of Magnolia Hotshots.

It was not that clear if the offer was a one-on-one trade, but with the way the rumor was presented, it seems like the value of the bigman that was offered was near to the value of Ian.

The first question is, which team could have offered? The fact that Ian was a center, means the #1 possibility is Rain or Shine.

Raymond Almazan had been rumored that he wanted out. We saw some signs during the season, but no trade was sent to the commissioner's office.

Then we saw the Jericho Cruz deal. In the supposed rumor of Elasto Painters who desired to play for other teams, Raymond was painted as the frontrunner.

Maybe, Rain or Shine is just looking for a quality big as a return?

And an Almazan for Sangalang deal looks fair in every angle. The two were drafted back-to-back in the 2013 draft. Almazan is a unique stretch big who can protect the rim. Sangalang is a super-skilled and superb scorer inside.

According to the rumor, Magnolia rejected the offer.

Which is not a bad decision because Ian is blossoming in their system and Almazan has a lot of question marks, on and off the court.

So, do you think it was Rain or Shine that offered for Sangalang?

I don't think it is a bad idea to take a chance on a legit 6'7 big who produced 13.3 points and 7.4 rebounds in the Philippine Cup.
