TRADE RUMORS! A new shooter for Ginebra?

Coach Tim Cone is so good that he was able to minimize their weakness, of shooting from beyond the arc, to the point that it was hard for opponents to take advantage of it.

But a weakness is a weakness. And according to a fan in a forum, Jeff Chan could be on his way to the most popular ball club in the country.

Jeff Chan will surely help their outside shooting woes, as shown by his 38.5% shooting from beyond the arc in the Philippine Cup.

In the Philippine Cup, Ginebra attempted the least from beyond the arc. Although they were the 2nd most efficient squad. That doesn't mean that everything is fine. What made shooting from beyond the arc alluring, is the fact that shooting 33.3% of it is equivalent to shooting 50% in the 2FG.

So, for you to maximize it, the more attempts, the better.

For Ginebra, they have the 8th most adept shooter in LA Tenorio and 33rd in Kevin Ferrer. After those two, Ginebra already does not have credible weapons in shooting threes.

Unless they provide enough minutes to Raymond Aguilar to pump up threes.

What Jeff Chan will bring are more sure-ball three-point shots. A Tenorio, Chan and Ferrer combo on the court should stretch the floor and provide better space for their import and Japeth Aguilar to operate.

But, what was the supposed price for Chan? According to the source, it could be Aljon Mariano plus a 2nd round pick.

I am not sure if Phoenix is looking for a non-shooter, so it could be hard to see this trade happening.
