2018 PBA Draft: Parks is coming to be the PBA's Greatest of All Time

I will not be shocked if half of you see Bobby Ray Parks Jr. as overrated. That is the product of letting us wait for almost half a decade for his entrance to the PBA draft.

So, I will not blame you if you will not finish this article after you read my next statement.

Bobby Ray Parks Jr. is bound to be the PBA's Greatest of All Time.

Okay. Calm down. I am not guaranteeing that he will be the Greatest of All Time. But he can potentially be that guy.

The best thing about it is the fact that we will see him match up with another monster who is actually on his way to be crowned as PBA's GOAT.

Of course, that guy June Mar Fajardo. Let us just hope though that they will not end up in the same team.

If you do not believe me, you can check his production in the recent season of the ASEAN Basketball League. He manufactured 16.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.7 block, 46% FG and 36% 3FG per game.

Not good enough? You need to remember that he played and fought with two imports, each. Playing with and against reinforcements can reduce the production of star players.

We all saw that in the PBA where one import arrives for each team in the two latter conferences. So imagine having two each on both sides.

With how the current NBA GOAT debate is going, it is easy to conclude that championships are still the most important ingredient of getting the GOAT status.

And what Parks did in the 2018 ABL Finals will blow you away!

He delivered 22.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2 steals per game in the five-game series. He did that in an efficient fashion. He shot 51.4% in the field and he consistently knocked 50% of his three-pointers in each game! Yes, he shot 50% from beyond the arc in game 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5!

In short, he delivers in the most crucial stage of a league!

It is easy to question any prospect who has the potential to be the greatest of all time in a league. But, Parks has shown enough evidence that he may fulfill it.

So, if I am Blackwater or Columbia, losing this season will be worth it.
