Is The Phenom Kiefer just a product of Performance Enhancing Drugs?

In one of the most mind-boggling happenings in the history of the PBA, Kiefer Ravena was forced by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas to skipped the Visayas leg of the 2018 PBA All-Stars.

Many speculations were thrown around about the reason why, and nobody came up with something that was PED related. The most popular speculation was about a practice game of a Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League team.

Unfortunately, it was worse. According to Spin.ph, he failed a drug test that was conducted after their World Qualifying game against Australia in February.

Although that was not yet confirmed by SBP themselves, the sources are reliable enough to say that that was the real reason why he was forced to go to Manila.

And I think, the biggest question now is, is Kiefer just a product of Performance Enhancing Drugs?

If the answer is yes, then you are telling me that he has been using those drugs all the way to his college days. Because Kiefer was immediately a star when he entered college. Just like the way that he is burning the PBA on fire in his rookie season.

Maybe, the possibility that he began using was when he planned to enter the draft is much more acceptable. During the draft-combine, a lot of people was amazed by his new-found athleticism. Could that be a product of the enhancing mechanism?

If your answer is no, you are basically telling me that he accidentally indigested those drugs. A lot of international sports personalities who tested positive had used that same reasoning in the past. Is that possible?

There is a big possibility but in reality, the chances are minimal. Those tests that check out PEDs in our system are programmed to detect a more than a minimal amount. So, for a person to accidentally intake that detected amount is not that realistic. Although, it is also possible.

Okay.

Before you dare condemn him, let us give him a chance to explain himself. Because the moment this becomes official, his life and career has changed forever.

Fortunately for him, he is still young. With a lot of time to correct his story.
