TRADE ALERT - Analysis: NLEX and Blackwater exchanged bigs

Coach Yeng Guiao is truly a man of his word. After telling the media last week that his team may need some roster changes, he acted upon it right away.

It is a simple swap of back-up bigs but for a coach Yeng, it can change their team a lot.

TEAM ANALYSIS
NLEX
Sent: Rabeh Al-hussaini
Received: Dave Marcelo

According to coach Yeng, he recognized the potential of Rabeh but he was honest enough to say that their current system doesn't fit Rabeh. NLEX plays fast, which is not a strong suit of Rabeh. So getting back Dave is a good one.

Dave Marcelo fits a fast-paced scheme better. He is smaller in size than Rabeh but he has more grit. Other than that, he is way more hardworking in battling for the rebounds and has a better midrange shot.

BLACKWATER
Sent: Dave Marcelo
Received: Rabeh Al-hussaini

I love this move by Blackwater. By exchange Dave with Rabeh, Blackwater's frontcourt just become much bigger. Dave is only averaging around 8.2 minutes this conference and Rabeh may expect the same length of playing time.

With Rabeh in their bench, they can expect to have a 6'7 local center all throughout the game. And of course, size still matters in basketball. With a much slower pace, they can control the game much better.
