2018 PBA Mock Draft 2.0: Ginebra and Alaska got their Point Guards of the Future!

A lot has developed around Philippine basketball in the last two months that our mock draft is shaken. The 2018 Commissioner's Cup is going on and it will make a huge change to the 2018 PBA draft order.

So, who are the new names? Who are at the top? Which team will be having a hard-time deciding? Let us see.

#1 Blackwater - Bobby Ray Parks Jr.
Parks' performance in the recent season of the ASEAN Basketball League affirmed what all of us already knew, he has the potential to be the best player in the PBA.

Parks averaged 16.7 points, 46% FG, 36% 3FG, 5.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. He can easily top that in the PBA because he will not be playing with two imports.

#2 Columbia - Kobe Paras
Kobe Paras wants to turn pro. With what he showed in the on-going Filoil Flying V Cup, Paras will be a project in the PBA. But his potential may even be higher than that of Parks. That is due to his elite athleticism and explosiveness.

#3 Phoenix - Abu Tratter
If Abu Tratter turns out to be the best bigman in this draft, look out for Phoenix to snag him. Phoenix' frontline is the position that is pulling them down. Developing some young frontliners could be the right thing for them to do.

#4 Meralco - CJ Perez
Meralco is also looking for bigs. Unfortunately, this draft is not loaded with it. Fortunately for them, getting Perez with the #4 pick could be a steal. More popularly known as the 2nd coming of the Beast, Perez could turn out to be more of a playmaker and consistent defender than Calvin.

#5 Globalport - Robert Bollick
Bollick could be a great fit beside Stanley Pringle. The guy is a wise player on the court who will play through the system. He knows how to make plays for others and he is consistent with his defense.

#6 NLEX - Owen Graham
Coach Yeng Guiao is known for his affection to bigs that can knockdown three-point shots. Graham is peg as an athletic stretch-power forward. Graham is still very lean and will have a hard time defending the bulky bigs in the league, but, he should be a capable stopper of wings and guards.
