Trade Rumors: Do not believe the Standhardinger's Trade Buzz

Christian Standhardinger is not happy with the trade rumors circling around the social media. The #1 pick of the 2017 PBA rookie draft called the rumors as scams.

It seems like he trusts the San Miguel franchise to inform him about any trade possibilities. Which he deserves because of his stature and talent.

One thing that was lacking in his answers to the questions about the trade chatterings were words of complement or adoration for his team and his teammates.

Is that a sign that Christian is still not acclimated to the franchise?

And if you read between the lines, Christian is just being professional. He did not say that he doesn't want to be traded. Which may not mean anything at all. But, it could also be possible that getting into a new team where he can find more playing time is very acceptable to him.

With a lot of teams that are in need of a talented bigman like him, I am pretty sure San Miguel will receive good offers.

One possible reason that San Miguel may try to retain him for the duration of this season is to widen the gap of a Christian trade from the 2017 trade that they used to acquire him.

Just imagine the anger of PBA fans if SMB will be able to get a good 1st round pick plus talented young players for him. Why? They will compare it to the package that SMB gave up to grab Christian.
