Are the Two Best Players in the League, Playing in the Same Team?

After another monster game of 21 points and 22 rebounds by Christian Standhardinger against Northport. There was a question that popped into my mind.

Are the top two players in the country in SMB uniform?

Who is the 8th best scorer this conference? He is not an import but could be good as one. Yes. Christian Standhardinger. 

Standhardinger is averaging more points than Marqus Blakely, Romeo Travis and Akeem Wright. Not only is he averaging more points than them but he is also producing them in fewer minutes!


Standhardinger is so unstoppable in getting to the rim. I think he could be the strongest player in the league today. With his adept handles, he can start from the midrange and have a steaming start in finishing in the rim.

He does not have the depth of post moves that Vic Manuel has but with his athleticism, ferociousness, handles, strength and grit, he is so hard to stop.

He is so unstoppable that he is shooting 63% in the field! That is the best mark for players who are playing more than 10 minutes and who had played more than 3 games. 

Yes. Way better than the imports!

Yes. He is the top local scorer and also the most efficient local scorer in the league. Unlike other scorers out there who attempt a lot of shots to get a high scoring mark, Stand is scoring that much because he is really effective in doing it and unstoppable.

There are only two players who can do that. The other one is his teammate. 

He is not only the top local scorer of the conference but also the top local rebounder of the conference with 12.7 per game. Actually, he is the only local who is averaging in double-digit!

Moala Tautuaa is the 2nd best rebounder with 9.3. Yes, Christian is averaging 3.4 more than the 2nd one!

Actually, he is also averaging 3.9 more points than the 2nd best, who is Stanley Pringle who is manufacturing 21.4 points.

In short, there is no doubt that Standhardinger is the best PBA player when Fajardo is not playing. 

And the saddest part about it? Christian and Junemar are playing on the same team. Yes. The top 2 best players of the league are playing together instead of competing against each other.
