Complete Result of the 2018 PBA Draft!

The 2018 PBA draft is now on the books and it was full of surprises. 

Leading the 2018 class are CJ Perez, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. and Robert Bolick. They are all tasked to help three young franchises reach the realm of contendership. 

The first shocking pick was made by coach Yeng Guiao and the NLEX Road Warriors. I am pretty sure I never read any other mock draft out there with Desiderio as high as #4. #5 was a possibility but #4?

What made it so shocking was the statement of coach Yeng at the end of the season of NLEX that Kevin Alas and Kiefer Ravena are their present backcourt and they are looking for frontliners.

To be honest, I am expecting NLEX to make a surprising pick but not at #4. I thought it will happen at #7. 

The next surprising pick was made by Alaska who chose a consensus 2nd round player in Jesper Ayaay. A pick after, Columbian made a weird decision of grabbing a small point guard in JP Calvo.

The most controversial pick was the last pick in the 3rd round. How did Matt Salem end up with Ginebra? He was supposed to be a sure first-24 picks prospect. Was it magic?
