2019 PBA Mock Draft 3.0: Two blue-chip prospects are in!

Roosevelt Adams is a new name to follow for this draft. He rose to the occasion after an impressive stint with Mighty Sports in the tournament in Dubai. Jason Brickman has also put his name to the pool.

Which means, the 2019 draft is developing to be a very good year to have a 1st round pick!

#1 Columbian - Joshua Munzon (#1 in Last Mock)
I still believed that Munzon is the prize of this draft. He has a chance to solidify himself with the upcoming 2019 season of the PBA D-League.

#2 Blackwater - Jason Brickman (New!)
If you do not have one of the top 6 point guards in the league, how can you resist Jason Brickman? The moment he plays in the PBA, he will replace one of those top six quarterbacks in that ranking. That is how good Jason is in the profession of playing the "1" in basketball.

#3 Northport - Thirdy Ravena (#4 in Last Mock)
It seems like Northport will realize this season that they still lack talent and upside. Thus, they should go for the best talent available. At this pick, Ravena is that guy. With his impressive winning resume, amazing physical attributes and improving game, Ravena may even have a higher potential than his brother.

#4 Alaska (From Phoenix) - Troy Rike (#2 in Last Mock)
Troy Rike will be playing in a pretty deep team in the PBA D-League. He will team up with the #1 in this ranking and the proven point guard of DLSU, Kib Montalbo. Although his potential was only shown in flashes, the combination of shooting and size is still one of the best for the PBA.

#5 Meralco - Isaac Go (#5 in Last Mock)
If Meralco will not reach the range for Thirdy Ravena, Isaac Go should be their target. With Ange Kouame still around in the 2019 UAAP season, I do not think Go could build enough hype to push himself into the top 3 but I think he has a pretty high ceiling, as evident by his 10.0 points and 4.3 rebounds average in the semifinals of PCCL.

#6 TNT - Roosevelt Adams (New!)
If the coaching staff of TNT managed to survive this season, they will surely look for another shooter. So how about the guy that is being compared to Marcio Lassiter? Combining Adams with Pogoy is an intriguing modern wing combo with their ability to drive, shoot and defend several positions.

#7 NLEX - Santi Santillan (#3 in Last Mock)
Although Alvin Pasaol is still available, I do not think coach Yeng can resist the urge of drafting Santillan. Santillan is a winning player. he will do the little things to help the team wins. That is one of the qualities that coach Yeng love.

#8 Rain or Shine - Arvin Tolentino (#9 in Last Mock)
The current crop of young players of Rain or Shine is ready to take over from the veterans. That is the way Jayvee Mocon, Rey Nambatac, Ed Daquioag and Norbert Torres are playing. They need to find the right partner of Norbert though. I think Tolentino could be that guy with his high-level skills and ability to hit from the outside.

#9 Alaska - Owen Graham (#6 in Last Mock)
Other than last year, Alaska has been consistent in drafting the best talent available. Graham will surely slip because of his low name-recognition and for being a fil-foreigner. His ceiling though is as high as anyone in this draft and he has the motor to be an impactful player, right away.

#10 Magnolia - Alvin Pasaol (#7 in Last Mock)
Magnolia can solidify their bench by adding a microwave scorer like Pasaol. Pasaol may never become a competent defender but his scoring could translate right away. Alvin Pasaol can also play several positions, bringing more versatility to the Hotshots.

#11 Columbian (From San Miguel) - Larry Muyang (#8 in Last Mock)
Muyang has the vibe of JP Erram for me. With his size and long arms, he can easily be a reliable rim protector in the PBA. He will be having an opportunity to show-up in the D-League, which could go a long way in pushing himself up from this spot.

#12 Ginebra - Sean Manganti (New!)
If he shows in the upcoming PBA D-League that he can shoot from the outside, Sean will have a good shot of being part of the first round. Sean is long and athletic. He will be another versatile forward for coach Tim.
