Not a Breaking News: Some PBA teams are paying players under the table

In a very telling interview here with Sports Center 5, link, the owner of the Alaska Aces finally said the obvious that PBA fans have known for a while.

Mr. Wilfred Uytengsu said that they have two players in the past who told him that they wanted to leave because they wanted to earn more. The key is, those players are already being paid the maximum salary.

The revelation of this in the public is not that shocking because almost all PBA fans are already aware of it.

Although, it is a big step that one of the owners finally talks about it in the public.

The next thing that we need to wait is the action of the PBA. If they will not do any action against the statements of Mr. Uytengsu, that is in itself an admission that the thing is happening.

Now, if that happens and PBA doesn't do anything about it now, why should fans even care in the future?

If they will continue to allow the bigger teams to do this corrupt activity, there will never be balance in the league.

And a league without parity is not worth watching at all.
