The Five Best PBA Free-Agents this FIBA Qualifiers - Break

The 2019 Philippine Cup is having a long break to give time for the last window of the 2019 FIBA Asian Qualifier.

This is a great opportunity for teams to make line-up changes. If your favorite franchise doesn't want to make a trade, how about taking a look on the free-agency market?
Here are the five best available free-agents in the market.

#1 RR Garcia
In terms of pedigree and name recognition, RR is on a tier by himself. He delivered his worst season last year, which prompted TNT to part ways with him. That doesn't mean RR is not due for a bounce-back. He once delivered 14.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 42.8% FG per game in 2016.

#2 Gab Banal
With his frame, athleticism and high skill level, I really though Gab will find a way to one of the 12 franchises in the league. That did not happen even though Gab produced 14.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game in the 2018 PBA D-League. I am hoping he gets one more chance to show his worth in the PBA.

#3 Arnold Van Opstal
So, Meralco did not end up signing AVO. That could speak a lot about the current skill level of the De La Salle alumni. But in terms of potential, he deserves one more opportunity. With his size and athleticism, AVO could at least be a serviceable back-up bigman.

#4 Paul Varilla
Paul was left unsigned by the team that picked him as the 1st pick in the 2nd round of the 2018 draft and by NLEX that gave him a shot on one of their roster spots. Varilla is a hard worker on both ends of the court and has the athleticism to overwhelm defenders.

#5 Carlo Lastimosa
If anyone needs a scorer, Lastimosa is the guy that they should call. In the 2018 Commissioner's Cup, Carlo averaged 9.0 points in just 17.2 minutes per game. He is a fearless driver who is lock-in to take as many shots as possible.
