2019 PBA Mock Draft 4.0: Ginebra will get the #1 scorer of...

This draft is just getting deeper and deeper in terms of possibilities, as months go by. For this edition, we will finally use the current standings in conducting the mock draft.

How should the draft go if it happens today and all the potential entrants will make their name available?

Let us see.

#1 Blackwater - Joshua Munzon (#1 in Last Mock)
If the price of having another forgettable season is to grab Munzon and partner him with Bobby Ray Parks Jr., it could be worth it. The two at the wings will be hard to stop because of their size, athleticism and with what they can do on both ends of the court.

#2 Northport - Thirdy Ravena (#3 in Last Mock)
With Stanley Pringle and Robert Bollick in place, Northport will not draft for a guard. So, the pick here will be Thirdy Ravena. Ravena's main selling point is his physique and athleticism. With the shooting of Bollick and Stanley and even Moala Tautuaa, his ability to drive to the rim will be magnified.

#3 Columbian - Isaac Go (#5 in Last Mock)
I believe Dyip is pretty high on JP Calvo, thus  Brickman may not that enticing to them to pass on Isaac Go. Coach Tab Baldwin said that he will help Isaac developed into a modern international power forward. That may just be what the Dyip may need. I love Go's IQ with his size. It is just hard for a very big guy to not be impactful in the PBA if he knows how to play, especially if he can hit threes.

#4  Meralco - Troy Rike (#4 in Last Mock)

Their need for a bigman will push Meralco to draft the best available big. Just like in the UAAP, Rike is not dominant in the 2019 PBA D-League but his combination of size and shooting is still so promising. He also played small forward in the United States, which means he has the potential to be a pretty skilled big in the PBA.

#5 NLEX  - Jason Brickman (#2 in Last Mock)
Even though coach Yeng is known for developing players, I do not think he will say no to Brickman who has shown that he will be a top 5 PG in the league right away. With Jason's passing and shooting, his fit with Kiefer will surely work.

#6 Alaska - Santi Santillan (#7 in Last Mock)
Santillan is slowly building up a pretty good resume that should entice Alaska. Santillan is a pretty skilled frontliner who may have the athleticism to play the small forward position in the future. He can shoot 3s, grab rebounds, make the right passes and most importantly for Alaska, he is a well-mannered player.

#7 Magnolia - Roosevelt Adams (#6 in Last Mock)
Even though he is not exploding in the PBA D-League, the way he did for Mighty Sports in Dubai, his size and shooting are still pretty obvious with Go-for-Gold CSB. His stroke is smooth and he works hard on both ends.

#8 Ginebra- Mikhael McKinney (New!)

How about the guy who had been torturing Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League and was compared to Allen Iverson? He is currently averaging 27.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.9 steals and 41% 3FG per game. The last number could be the most important for the worse three-point shooting team in the PBA.

#9  TNT- Arvin Tolentino (#8 in Last Mock)

Arvin will be an awesome fit for TNT because of their emphasis on three-point shooting. Arvin has the offensive skillset to play a modern offense like TNT. With their aging frontcourt, grabbing a talented forward is just right for TNT.

#10 Columbian (From San Miguel)- Larry Muyang (#11 in Last Mock)
This is a dream draft for the Dyip. After grabbing Isaac Go with the #3 pick, Larry Muyang will end up sliding to them. Muyang has good size to play center in the PBA. He also showed the ability to make reads, find his teammates, make passes on the move and score in the post. Just the right guy to partner with Go.

#11 Rain or Shine - Alvin Pasaol (#10 in Last Mock)

Pasaol will be awesome fit for the Elasto Painters because he can act as their microwave scorer, off-the-bench. His skill set is pretty different from what the current wings of the Elasto Painters have. Add the fact that the Extra Rice Inc. may come to life again and we have an awesome decision at this pick.

#12 Alaska (From Phoenix)- Sean Manganti (#12 in Last Mock)
Alaska will be intrigued by the length and athleticism of Sean. He has the size to play multiple positions in the PBA and he also has the knack of connecting on tough shots. He could be a versatile defender also, not only because of his physique, but also with his instinct and IQ. Overall, Sean falling to #12 will make a him a pretty good sleeper candidate in the draft.
