PBA News: The Uncertainty of Blackwater and Bobby Ray Parks Jr.

Even though they are one of the youngest and least successful franchise in the PBA, Blackwater holds a lot of stocks in the future of the PBA.

First, the uncertainty of Bobby Ray Parks Jr.

When coach Bong Ramos was asked about the supposed debut of Bobby Ray Parks Jr. in the 2019 Commissioner's Cup, he remained silent because the management of the Elite has been silent about it.

Thus, a big question still hangs for them. Will he play?

If he does, playoffs will be much easier to reach in the upcoming conference.

Think about him playing with Michael DiGregorio, a dead-eye shooter who is a very good player, off-the-ball, Allein Maliksi a versatile defender and scorer and of course, Mac Belo.

Mac Belo was underwhelming in the Philippine Cup with his 10.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 29% 3FG and 38% FG per game but his defense is legit and his skills were obvious.

Now, what if Ray doesn't want to play with them?

That may force Blackwater to trade him which could create a new viable contender elsewhere. Remember that in the offseason, he was rumored to be sent to Meralco and with the presence of imports in the last two conferences, Meralco will surely be a contender.

Now, Blackwater is not all about Bobby Ray Parks. They now also have the biggest opportunity of grabbing the #1 pick in the upcoming 2019 draft, which could turn out to be one of the best drafts in this decade.
