2019 PBA Phil. Cup: The 5 Most Disappointing Players

(c) PBA Media Bureau

Before we leave the 2019 Philippine Cup, let us visit it once again to talk about the five most disappointing players. These are the ballers that were far behind the expectations in terms of their performance.

#5 Paul Lee
Overall, Lee was still positive for the Magnolia Hotshots but in terms of meeting the expectation, Lee was lacking. Lee produced 14.5 points but in a very inefficient fashion. He shot 37% from the field and 29% from beyond the arc.

#4 Mac Belo
Belo continues to be an underwhelming player in the 2019 Philippine Cup. He averaged 10.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 38% FG and 29% 3FG per game. His inefficiency is still the biggest downer for Belo. Fortunately, his defense is still pretty good but he was not only drafted for his defense.

#3 Baser Amer
The impact of the trade rumors was pretty obvious on the production of The Hammer. Baser manufactured 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals, 37% FG and 30% 3FG per game. His assist number is the most concerning because he was coming from a conference where he averaged 4.0 per game.

#2 Robert Bollick
Bollick entered the league as one of the three most highly touted rookies. He has amazing games but his finishing statistical line was underwhelming. He averaged 10.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 37% FG and 25% 3FG per game. Bollick showed a lot of positive things like the ability to hit pull-up threes and good ball security. He should try to improve his efficiency because that is the key to meeting his potential.

#1 Ranidel de Ocampo
Once touted as the best power forward in the league, RDO is now a forgotten star. RDO's injury war was not over the last conference, missing two games. He produced 10.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 34% FG and 31% 3FG per game. And just by watching him and you will observe that RDO is not the same RDO that we used to know.
