The Three PBA Coaches on the Hot Seat this 2019 Commissioner's Cup

In professional basketball,  when a team starts piling up losses and failures, the coach always ends up as the scapegoat, 9 out of 10.

With one conference already over. I am pretty sure there is at least three team management out there who are starting to question the viability of their coaching staff.

Who are the three coaches who have the biggest chance of being replaced if they do not meet their management's standard this conference? Let us see.

Meralco Bolts - Norman Black
This one is the most obvious. Even though it was not coach Norman's fault that he did not have a giant-stopping center until Raymond Almazan came, he will still be the easy fall guy if the Bolts continue to struggle.

With Raymond Almazan in town, I do not think the MVP management will be happy with another exit in the elimination round. Although, coach Norman should try to push for one more trade that could turn some of their guards into a forward, at least.

Alaska Aces - Alex Compton
In terms of fans' call, the majority of Alaska fans have been calling for a coaching change. The call subsided in the 2018 Governors' Cup but after a quarterfinals exit in the Philippine Cup, with Rain or Shine and Phoenix at the semifinals, fans' voice was getting louder.

Those fans will not be happy with the 1-2 start of the Aces. The good thing about the Aces fans is, they also know that their management has been failing them with conservative transactions like signing Chris Daniels as their import.

San Miguel Beermen - Leo Austria
If I look at all the coaches, I think coach Leo may have the highest chance of getting fired after the two above. It is not because of the quality of his coaching but more about the size of the expectation. If the Beermen fails to win the crown, they failed. Five straight Philippine Cup crown is historical but a Grand Slam is still more prestigious.

If they fail again, they will need to wait for the 2020 season for another chance. Will they entrust that Grand Slam opportunity again to coach Leo, after six tries?
