Did coach Tim Cone just admitted that the Stanley Pringle trade was one-sided?

Last Sunday, Stanley Pringle finally debuted for the Brgy.  Ginebra San Miguel. He started and contributed 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 6/10 FG.

Cone was so impressed that he said this, "we expect that more often. If you have two guys like that, it’s like Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. Who do you guard? That’s what we envision."

I think, coach Tim ignorantly admitted that the trade was not fair. How?

So, Stanley Pringle is as valuable as Stephen Curry in the PBA? And you managed to get him for three role players!

When coach Tim tried to defend the trade, he said this, "those three guys didn’t warrant being traded. It wasn’t because they did something wrong or they weren’t good enough or whatever. It’s just that we had to make a move for what we hope is an impact player in Stanley. We have to give up three really good players to do that.”

So, he actually knows that the impact player that he was talking about was as valuable as Curry in the PBA.

If we are going to compare it to the NBA, you can just see the difference between what Northport got to what New Orleans Pelicans received for Anthony Davis. If you are aware of the NBA, who is more valuable, Davis or Curry?

No matter what the answer is, I do not think the difference between the two is that huge.

The Pelicans got the #4 pick of the 2019 draft, two blue-chip prospects in Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball, a young stud in Josh Hart and two future first round picks.

Compare that to what the Batang Pier received. They got one very good role player, a rotation player and a good prospect. So, the difference is big. The three players that the Pelicans got were more valuable than the three players that the Batang Pier received!

And yet, Batang Pier did not receive a single pick! Even a second rounder!
